What we are currently loving!

Food:

Anchovies & Salt (Renton)

Although Renton may be a bit out of the way for our usual readers, I can assure you that Anchovies and Salt is worth the journey. Our friend group celebrated a dental school acceptance there, and the experience was unforgettable. Amidst the stunning waterfront views, we savored dishes like Cha Gio Chay (vegetarian egg rolls), Pho Tai Lan Wagyu (wagyu pho), Hau Song (raw oysters), and Pho Chay (vegan mushroom pho). Despite leaving us pleasantly full, we're already planning our next visit.

We had a chance to talk to the owner, Quyen, who shared his vision for the restaurant, aiming to create a homely atmosphere while representing his culture through innovative cuisine. He's dedicated to providing an authentic dining experience, with food as the centerpiece.

During our chat, Quyen generously extended a 10% discount to our readers! (We're not receiving any compensation for this.) Simply mention 'beehive' during your visit to redeem the offer.

Vibes:

  • Uh oh! Meteorologists are expecting a storm to roll in this week with wind, rain, and mountain snow! Get your ski boots ready! Be careful of driving with the black ice. We don't want anyone to get hurt!

  • We are still taking submissions for community heroes! Thank you to everyone who has submitted their heroes. We wanted to wait one more week to get even more submissions. Get ready for next week’s newsletter to have community heroes!
